Well i raced a few online games last night, having taken a break for a couple of weeks. The waiting in the lobby was better as it seemed to start the races as soon as the room got 6-12 people in it.However it is still saying after the race  "all players have left the session"  even though as it is loading i can see all the players still in the lobby ready for the next race. This is so annoying and it is spoiling it for me.

It only ever does that to me when I have a bad connection at the moment.

I also jumped back online last night after some time off and everything worked great. Better than it ever has, in fact. I played a small private match with some friends of mine new to the game and my girlfriend, who's on the same network. Usually just having her in a game with me screws everything up, but it sure didn't last night.  There was no lag, no voice chat issues and no one had a problem leaving or joining. I'm still on the same router and I still have my ports open (9103 and 6000) If this is a sign of anything Rainbow has done within the last month or so, I like it.

Yeah. The last time I played was when I went out to visit my brother for spring break a little over half way through March. I got Uncharted 2 and God of War III when I was out in Grand Junction, CO and today was my first race back. I just got done playing (PS3) online and it was much better. The lobby was quick and it would load right away without sitting there for a while saying "waiting for players". There were a few issues of riders lagging during the race a LITTLE, causing me to take a line that looked open to get the hole shot for 3 races and when I would get to the corner another rider would pop up out of nowhere and our bikes would actually be one dirt bike "X" as the lag caused us to fuse our bikes together then fly into the wall! haha I don't mind though, I like starting further back because then you don't set the pace so you can sneak up and pass 1st and (s)he has no idea what happened.

That's good news. I think I'll just stick with it now and stay on the bike until Red Dead Redemtion comes out May 18th. Then I'm afraid my love affair with Rainbow will be on hold for many, many months, if not....over. I...I'm sorry.

RBW, have you guys made any future adjustments since the last update to the game, that has not been mentioned here. Also can RBW can you tell us if Reflex online traffic (for races) has increased/decreased, you said you had a way of monitoring this with your rented server. I just have a hunch that the traffic might be decreasing, so the servers are handling the traffic much better so their performance is much more consistent/reliable. I am probably way off though hahah

Might actually be the opposite as i'm told we're still selling copies of the game so my hunch is that there are more players getting online with better connections which is helping with the load times.  People with slow connections will cause lag for the rest of the players.  I believe, and i'm not one of the tech guys but the server tries to match up people with good connections together.

......and oh yeah, i agree, red dead redemption looks pretty sick.

I know! I can't wait to pull off a sick whip on my horse over a set of double hay stacks.

Hey man, I agree.....for some reason on the night of 4/12/2010 when I played online, it was like my bike ran faster and better than ever.  I was clearing jumps I usually can't clear and sometimes even overshooting them.  The gameplay was smoother than ever, fast, and the best I've ever seen.  My cousing plays online with me as well so I called him and he jumped online and noticed the same thing....faster bike and way better gameplay than normal.   I've played online on 4/14 and it was like the game went back to the old normal way that it's been since the release. Does anyone know if Rainbow made some changes on the back end of the game or if the playstation network had anything to do with this?

Nothing has been said by Rainbow that I've seen. Things do seem to be working better, but the voice chat issues on the PS3 are still keeping me away. It's just too damn frustrating.
