Dear Developers, Online Gaming Management -       There is a hack which allows people to start races before the gate drops, allows them to crash but never suffer a set back or actually experience the crash itself, allows them to go off track and somehow magically appear ahead of you as if it never happened.... I have labeled it the BLINK hack, because as you see this happening, the person using this hack blinks away repeatadly, popping up in different areas from where he originally was. Lets say im going into turn 1 during a race, the rider using the blink hack can head straight off the track, and some how end up blinking back on, usually in front of me, without suffering a time loss or crash or anything... I have had my game lock up on me and freeze several times, and it seems like almost everyone who obviously sucks at the game is using this cheat. Its ruining the online experience, I am playing right now but actually took the time out to write this which im sure others have done, because out of about 10 races i made it in to, 9 out of 10 had hackers.... Its getting rediculous and nobody is doing anything about it... I just purchased a full year of XBOX live specifically for this game and it seems worthless now considering everyone is cheating... Play a few games, you will see what I am talking about... People come up short for jumps, but with the blink hack they somehow end up landing on the other side no problem.... Either tell me something is being done about this already, or DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT... I play Starcraft on my computer, created by Blizzard... everytime someone comes out with a map hack the developers patch it... almost within a week it seems like... this has been going on since Ive owned the game but i did not realize what was happening until I heard this from a friend... When you start a race, and immediately are 20 seconds behind without ever seeing them leave the gate, there is something wrong... Any hackers reading this - you  suck at this game and probably suck at riding in real life as well.. thats why you have to cheat to win... THQ AND RAINBOW STUDIOS, you have the ability to resolve this problem, DO IT.... Everyone should be equally able to race fairly based on their skill level... I have beaten the entire game and have gone online to play more since I love this game so much... I can tell you this, I am starting to hate it because of these people hacking.... DO US ALL A FAVOR AND FIX THIS

Steve

@Stevemx85 ...your are so right...i can remember, i was in some of those races with you yesterday...theese cheater are terrible and poor and they take the fun and motivation to get better in  racing experiance... My Goal is like in the real Bikeriding world..getting better and faster, i do not have in mind to look for shortcuts or cheats to beat others. Those people are so poor and sick , they should be banned from online gaming (which is nearly impossible ) The only thing what we can do is avoid them (which is possible on Xbox 360 )...if you can remember the name, which is almost not easy The only thing is, we must count on the RBW Guys...they must do something against this situation.  Two major things must be done by the programmers...close the shortcuts in all tracks and try to stop cheating... Hopefully then, we can play this awesome game  for a long time, otherwise more and more honest player will frustrated go away....

Ok....so I have a nice technical answer I was able to gather.  Turns out not to be a hack but revolves around internet connections.  Here's what was given back to me:

I have seen this before… it looks like the player is able to reset after a crash really fast somehow…

…but what I suspect is really happening is the player that is seeing everybody “cheating” - he just has a bad internet connection.  What is happening is that the dead reckoning (prediction algorithm) just gets so far off because his xbox is not receiving packet updates from the other players (they are getting dropped for whatever reason)… so he may see another player’s bike “crash” because of the prediction algorithm, but in reality the other player made the jump without crashing.  Then eventually when he does get a packet update that gives his box the true state of the other player’s bike - he ends up seeing that bike blink into the correct location.

Thanks for answer, ..ok, make sence on the impression we mean it's a cheater... ..But what is about the shortcuts in all the  the tracks...is there no possibility to close  it via batch ...so these poor guys must ride the whole track as all fair players ?

I have seen people use those short cuts right in front of me... When they're in like 5th place. So it doesn't bother me. If they suck so bad to cheat then obviously they'll lose if you just keep your lines. A fast line around a corner is alot faster than those shortcuts. Plus you carry your momentum out of the corner alot more than th cheater. If the cheater would realize this then they wouldn't suck so bad and need to resort to cheating. As for the original post in this thread... Redneck got the answer correct. It's the player lagging. Happens a lot.
