I tried going back to MX unleashed from my Xbox360 to my PS2 today, and crap did i ever suck! It feels so weird using just the left stick to do all of the turning and preloading. And the fact that you can pin it the entire track, and theres no ruts. However, in some ways, i feel RBW has gone backwards since this game. In this, the tuffblocks can be moved out of the way, but not launched across the track, which is nice if you go off track. The riders can battle alot more.  They only fall if you really slam someone. The AI actually gives you a challenge. Infact, they can ride the track darn well perfect. And its okay to battle with them. the tracks are wide- Bridgeport is VERY wide, the full 8 rider pack was going through the whoops all at the same time and still had lots of room. I also liked all of the line options on the tracks. There are berms on the inside as well as the outside, and the wide whoops sections had more flattened out sections that were much faster than the sections which havent been ridden over yet. Much more variety in tracks. There is 24 SX tracks, all of which are unique. There's 22 Nationals tracks at 21 unique locations, and 5 freeride maps. All of which probably have the same area of riding space as Reflex's because they arent filled with trees, mountains, cliff's, etc etc. The music in this game was good too. actual artists, and lots of songs. I think if we could combine the terrain deformation of reflex's tracks, and the wideness and uniqueness of Unleashed tracks, and be able to add 8 more riders for 20 total racers, I think that weould make an extremely amazing MX game.

Oh yea, one last thing, when you crash in unleashed, the guy rolls and comes to a stop if he hits an object, instead of sliding a thousand feet in some impossible position, and flying through the air in the opposite dierection if you hit something. Riders could also be ran over, instead of launching you backwards through the air.

Yep, unleashed is my favorite mx game to date.  It is especially fun in multiplayer because you can race each other really hard.  I also like screwing around with the biplane helicopter and monster truck, i was sad to see my favorite vehicles go in the newest mx games.

Unleashed also had the best keychain. It was a sprocket with a chain that spun around on a set of bearings. It's almost cooler than my Rockstar one.

My Reflex one that is an aluminum MX bike that doubles as a bottle opener is pretty awesome. :)

Canada199 I agree with you man unleashed was a wicked good game even by todays standards. Sooo many tracks and the physics with collisions made it amazing for close bar banging battles! Zen & Checkerz Where do you get these keychains?

Really good thread. I recently picked up reflex again and realized there is so many things that were perfect in the previous games then lost in the new game.... like the banners in Untamed, they were awesome, they ripped realistically and everything. Now REFLEX has sweet physics but the banners are rock hard. Unleashed had a **** ton of tracks, REFLEX doesn't but the terrain deforms... So how about we improve as we go instead of building new every time, cause its getting annoying when more things get left out for stupid stuff (not always stupid).

yes if we can add some features that were in the old games such as the collision physics and wider tracks, wiht the cool tracks, sick graphics, and deformation of reflex, and ad 20 riders on the gate, we will have a sick game. The one thing to remember about unleashed is although the tracks were wide, everything weas bigger. berms were greatly oversized, and so were the jumps.

Well I wouldn't want the huge ass berms but tracks could be wider. As long as they aren't as wide as Untamed! So rainbow what do you think? Whats the deal? Whats coming next and how can we help it be the best arcade MX game ever!?

i wouldnt mind it going more sim like mxsim actually. Or have it stay like this, just not more arcade style. that would suck if it went back to arcade physics, although i cant see it happening anyway
