In the interest of faster riders and laps....bring back ghost racing!

I for one was disappointed when I noticed the omission of Ghost Racing in Reflex. I think it was Unleashed that featured Ghost Racing. I found it to be by far the best way to learn the tracks and work out how to get prescious seconds cut out of a lap time. It's the easiest way to work out whether the inside or outside lines are faster as well as which jump combos work the best. I understand this might help out gamers that have less knowledge of how race lines work but i believe it will make for better racing, with more fast riders in each race. I guarantee everyone's lap times would drop if they had access to ghost races. For people that don't know what Ghost Racing is, you select Ghost Racing on the main screen. Then you precede to race one lap by yourself. That lap is recorded and as soon as you cross the finish line, your new lap begins but your old lap is overlaid as a 'ghost' rider and you can then race against your previous fastest lap. This way you can try alternate lines against your ghost and visually see if you are gaining or losing time. Your fastest lap stays your ghost opponent so slow laps are simply erased.  I hope we see this in the next MX VS ATV game! What do you guys think??

Where's the fun in keepin it upright??

I am too however what most people don't realize is that it is patented and Midway holds the patent and can sue anyone that uses that feature without reaching an agreement and paying to use it.  But Midway isn't around anymore so what does that mean?  Good question, no one is sure who bought the patent or if it was transferred as part of Midway's sell off.  Yes, there are some games that have ghost racing in it, they're just taking a chance that no one will come after them.  If you can't tell by now, I've done extensive research on this particular feature.  Does this mean we won't have it in the next game?  Who knows, we'll have to see what develops.

Codemasters may have established a standing contract with Midway while they were in development on those games which was quite a bit ago.

Please. I would love Ghost racing. Maybe colored lines vs ghost racing? Show the legened of colors and the times? Then you wouldnt be infringing on someone else idea.
