after a few weeks of playing this game it is obvious that using a clutch will actually waste time and slow down your lap times. the clutch is only good for the starting gate. Understand that on the track the clutch doesn't provide the same jerk as we are used to in real life. Just ride the track without using the clutch because it doesn't do much of anything other than slowing you down!

its to get your RPMs up. on two strokes, u get high rpm's, u get more power due to the powerband. If you RPM's are already high, then yes, its pointless

on the 450s its for sure pointless but on the lower rpm bikes sometimes its usefull if the rpms drop.

The clutch works well when the back wheel steps out under power. Tap the clutch and it brings the rear into line and traction returns. Works best on fast, flat corners. Don't clutch around a corner if you are getting traction though, it will up the revs and induce wheel spin

Where's the fun in keepin it upright??

The clutch can come in handy. I usually use it when I'm trying to square something up, or when I blow something and need all the RPMs I can wring out. Usually it's pretty effective if I get off the brake in time. Other than that, just at the gate.

The clutch in this game does nothing, even when the engine sounds like its bogged all the way down its still as fast as it is when its wound out.

I use it in corners... Come fast into the corner, brake hard, turn, on the gas, tap clutch (while still holding gas).. Helps me come straight out of the corner with speed. I have plenty of first place finishes online to back up my techniques.

^ Ya that.  I use it if I'm squaring up a corner or going to the inside.  Don't touch it if you rail around the berm.
