For those of you who have the DLC 1 Pack, this should look familiar. For those that don't, here is a feature on one of the tracks you're missing out on. ...read more

Switchyard supercross steps out of the stadiums in into a downtown urban setting. Geico was able to help secure the perfect location. Set in a New York coastal shipping yard amongst freight trains and storage warehouses. The track funnels through a warehouse and underneath the abutment of a major bridge that spans to the mainland.

At the drop of the gate, riders drop off an elevated start down to ground level. A long drag race to the first turn favors riders who aren’t afraid to hold the gas on. The holeshot goes to the first rider to make it through the warehouse doors.

Turn 1 is completely enclosed in a storage warehouse. Enjoy the sound of a full gate of 450s coming into the first turn as the sound bounces off the roof and walls. Riders hit a small single as they come through the entrance doors. Be careful not to jump too deep into the turn or you leave the door open to be passed on the inside. Step on then off a low tabletop coming into turn 2.

Set up for turn 2 to get a good drive at the following up/down whoop section. Blitz the whoops or jump through. If you got through the whoops good, this big triple will be no problem to clear. Throw a nice whip at the bridge supports just over your head.

Section 3 is a technical rhythm section that runs directly under the bridge between the support pillars. Any combination of rhythms is possible, but the money line is to triple in and go from there. The end of the section jumps to the right as it wraps around a support pillar. This is one of the trickiest parts of the track trying to thread the turn and still stay on track.

The next section is a simple step up leading into a short whoop section. You enter an extended tunnel as drop into the whoops.

Section 5 starts with a wheel-tap jump and leads right into a big supercross triple. Getting over the first jump is crucial to be able to clear the triple. This is also a great place to set up a block pass and drop your opponents a few seconds.

Turn 6 is a nice bowl turn leading into another rhythm section. Hang out wide to triple in, or cut the turn low to double in. From there, a few different jump combinations are possible. The fast line is to stay low and go on/off the table top rather than jump it.

Turn 7 is split into a high and low line that leads into the tunnel jump. Stay tight inside and roll over the tunnel then step on/off a table top, or go outside in turn 7 and double double from the tunnel into the next corner.

Section 8 is a whoop section. The finish line the next section, so don’t blow your race on the last lap by swapping out in the whoops. A lot of last ditch black passes tend to happen in turn 9.

Section 9 is a big finish line double. Easy for the MX bikes, but requires a bit more effort on the Lites MX bikes.

After the finish, a short rhythm section steps up and over the tunnel and into turn 11. The track then jumps over the start line and a lap at Switchyard is complete.
