Fix the networking so that you can play behind a router! I use wireless on ps3 and this is the only game with unreliable connections. When using a router about 3% of the time joining a game can you actually get one. To test this after trying for 45 minutes to get a match, I hooked directly to my cable modem and bam got into sessions non-stop for 15 minutes (quitting as I joined and saw others). Reconnected through the router....and 0 sessions after 30 minutes. removed the router and got connections. I have 0 issues with netflix to 2k sports to hulu websurfing, just reflex :( Please fix this! btw the router config is wide open no ports etc blocked...help!

What router are you running? We are looking into these issues, and if a certain router is causing problems it will help narrow things down big time!

Router Data for developers: The Netgear FR114P router works fine. It's not wireless and no adjustments needed to be done, just plug in and play for two PS3 systems.
Turtlette and myself both play the game at the same time online and the only time we have a problem is if either one of us has played Arcade mode or Motocareer mode prior to playing mutiplayer online. My brother also has the same problem if playing arcade mode or motocareer and then going straight to multiplayer mode. I'm not sure which router he uses, but, once he shuts down and reloads the PS3 he can enter multiplayer games fine. I do not reboot the router or cable modem, below is how we are able to connect without problems, I hope it helps those of you who can't connect. You can check the MotoCard and still play multiplayer fine.
Quit Reflex
Turn off PS3
Wait 30 seconds
Turn on PS3
Start Reflex
Goto Multiplayer Online
Have fun riding!!!

I dont know how many ppl out there are using wireless broadband connections, but i use a 3g usb wireless broadband connection and it doesnt want to find to join to any reflex games (works fine with all others) also in house the parents have a router pluged into the broadband wall socket and if i connect to that im playing??? i hope it is not being biased to connection speed joing all the fast connections and throwing out the rest??

I use wireless for everything, it honestly does not make any differences about if you plug in or use wireless its still a "connection" yo rhythm if you have a lot of 3g wireless connections yes this will cause you not to be able to join games because those 3g frequencies are being used up by other devices maybe this is the case for you but who am I to say I'm not an expert just have the experience!! ha ha

Your welcome RBW, hope the data helps narrow the problem down. Maybe a few poll's or forum questions could be useful?
For example: "Can connect and play" and "Can NOT connect and play", then you would have a list of what works and what doesn't.
Wired or wireless?
Brand/Model of router?
Number of connection(s) to router?
Cable or DSL?
Connection Speed?
Did you play arcade/motocareer before going to online play?
Etc,,,
