- In the lobby, you can change your vehicle within the first 30 seconds.
- If you are happy with your vehicle, press “skip vehicle select” to initiate the level load. The faster all the players in the room get the level loaded, the faster the game will launch.
- Be patient in the public rooms, the game will launch shortly after the last player to join has loaded the level.
- While in the lobby, you can tune your vehicle before the game launches via the pause menu.
- Players can join your Freeride room, even while you are in the level.
- You can tune and change your vehicle during Freeride via the pause menu.
- Use the session marker flag to respawn at a certain location in Freeride. Good for hitting a cool jump over and over.
- View a map of the Freeride level via the pause menu. Use the coordinates on the map to help describe the location of something. For instance, there is a sweet jump in Hillsgrove is sector B5.
- You can buy multiple vehicles, and tune them all differently. Good if you like a particular setup for a certain track. Just switch to your pre-tuned vehicle in the lobby.
- In ranked matchmaking, players can “veto” the next track by a majority vote. This is done after post race results are show and the next track is displayed. There is a countdown timer so be quick and you can only veto the first next track.
- In Private Session the host can set options such as event type, number of events, duration, vechile class and locations. For example, create a fun 5 race series between you and your friends.
- If you do not have a specific vehicle already tuned, switch to a pro rider. Their vehicles are already tuned for performance. For instance, if you have not yet set up a 125 MX Lites bike and you want to try it out on the fly, you may want the benefit of a pro rider’s vehicle tuning.
- Online leaderboards are viewable within your motocard. Compare your speed with the rest of the world be viewing your times here
- When viewing online leaderboards, you can sort your view by overall rank, friends, and your rank.
- In Arcade mode, you change your race rules (lap count, AI skill, and vehicle class) by pressing the option button on the same page where you select the track.
- To bail of your bike at any time click both joysticks down and press both shoulder buttons. On 360 LS+RS+LB+RB. PS3 L3+L1+R3+R1. Useful if you know you are going to crash, or if you are spending too much time off track.
- While you are crashing, to avoid those time consuming ragdoll crashes, be pressing the reset button. It'll get you rest back on the track a bit quicker.
