The game makers need to do just a straight up MX only game! Get ride of all other vehicles. Build the game just like Madden Football. You can either do a straight up race at any Supercross or National track, picking from the actual 16 Supercross tracks on the circuit (ie; Anaheim, San Diego, Houston, Daytona, etc) all the way to the final in Vegas. Same thing with the Nationals (Glen Helen, Hangtown, High Point, Budds Creek, Red Bud, etc). Or have the career option. But do a real career. You start as a privateer rookie in the Amateur ranks racing at Ponca City, Loretta Lynns, Mini-O's, Vegas World Mini and so on. How you finish as an Amateur gets you your sponsorships for when you turn pro. When you turn pro you should start how they all do, pick East Coast or West Coast Lites, and either get full factory sponshorship from Monster Energy P.C., Factory Connection Geico, or other teams. If you dont finish good during the season you get cut from the team for bad results and have to go back to paying for it from your pocket and try to win money. Then race that division for as long as you want or until you get bumped up. Then just like Amateur ranks how you ride in the Lites division gets you a ride for the big bike factory teams on 450's. In your career you can also turn down sponsorship options and get your own gear, helmet and boot sponsors. But also do the racing like real racing 20 RACERS IN THE MAIN in Supercross, 30-40 RACERS IN THE NATIONALS MOTO'S. Madden didnt go chincy why should a MX game. Look at the NASCAR game its the same. You can make cool little fun games if you want to unlock more things. Like having races from back in the day with the old school guys, where you have to beat them on the epic battle track they raced on and finish like them to unlock that rider ie; You are David Bailey and have to beat Rick Johnson in two laps at the 1985 LA Coliseum Supercross, do it and you unlock David Bailey and so-on. Have old school guys like, R. J., Jeff Ward, Bob Hannah, Damon Bradshaw, Emig, McGrath, Lechien, Glover and others. It would be a game like NO OTHER. Ditch all the trucks, buggies and rhinos. Leave them for the off-road games. If anything else keep the ATV'S, but KEEP THEM SEPARATE!!!!!!Dont inter-race them during an Lucas Oil Outdoor National, or Monster Energy Supercross. I would bet money if there were a game like this all the companies that are in the industry would want their name on it and in it, just like the NASCAR, Madden and EA Sports games. They have all the real stuff and make millions and millions on those games. The MX industry needs a game like that to put us on the map. Just keep the graphics like the ones on Reflex, cause they are sweet. If you have any ideas or questions on it I'm on here!

very good idea. and you didnt demand, cuss, or cry. good post. i agree with almost all of that. hell RBW should get monster or lucas to throw some money their way to help develop the game and to have them as a sponsor of the game. i dig your ideas though. -ditch all vehicles except mx. (atv too please? =) theres target audience for that though) - race wherever\whenever. or go career. -sponsorship offers, turn down\accept. i like that you have to remember that not everyone wants to be associated with game(s) so big name companies wont allow the use of their name, logos, etc. so maybe you wont get a sponsorship from "Honda" but maybe 'storm' and it will just look similar. some people get upset about name brand stuff in a game but legally you can only do so much. old school epic battles are excellent ideas!

Yes it would be nice to have all those tracks, all the riders, etc. But there is some serious licensing issues going on with that, the AMA, EA's passed licensing, etc. It's a lot of trouble for little gain. It also takes a ton of effort to mimick a track. It's entirely different to design it from scratch in a 3d program. This is why very few of the past games got it right. I remember the whoops at washougal were almost non existent on all the games. I can handle having fake tracks. It would be nice if we could get more though. The same 8 outdoor tracks are going to get old very quickly. I'm already burned out on sugar ridge from the demo. And the Bedford Oregon track is getting old too.

On the licensing thing, all the other big name games have the real sponsors, real tracks, real teams etc. Why go half way on an MX game. What makes it different from all the others. Madden has all 32 NFL teams and their stadiums (how much money is that?), NASCAR has all the race teams sponsors (minus the alcohol related ones which I can understand) and all the Cup tracks. Why cant a company do the same for an MX game?
